Our Story
It all began in 2016...
In Seattle, at a little custom apparel company called Kotis Design. Chris had just moved to the city to be closer to his college friends and sister and on the first day at his new job, he met Ally. Bright, full of energy, and bouncing—literally—on a medicine ball next to his desk.

Ally’s first impression? A mix of curiosity and caution. “Who is this frat boy with his slicked back hair and preppy polo?” Meanwhile, Chris was trying to focus on work while Ally danced in her chair with her headphones on. But, truthfully, he was enamored by her energy from the start.
​
Despite the chaotic desk dynamics, they quickly became close friends. They bonded over a shared love of EDM music and spent their free time exploring Seattle with their Kotis crew, going to concerts, and finding the best happy hours in town.

In early 2017, Ally decided to embark on a three month solo trip through Europe. While she was off exploring new cities, Chris stayed in touch, sending her new music and little messages to let her know she was on his mind. When she returned that May, he didn’t waste any time and asked her to dinner to catch up. Tacos and tequila turned into a long night of reminiscing, and that night, something clicked. They went from being just friends to being inseparable.

On Ally’s birthday later that year, Chris took her to happy hour where he promptly lost their parking ticket, a theme that happens often with Chris. Flustered, but undeterred, they headed to mini golf where he surprised her with a birthday party and finally worked up the courage to ask her to be his girlfriend.

The years that followed were full of adventures. Together they danced through music festivals, took spontaneous road trips, and Chris even got Ally to enjoy watching football. Ally introduced him to the pure joy of themed parties and dancing like no one’s watching.

Then 2020 came... The world paused, and life shifted. Ally’s dad, Peter, was battling cancer, and the months that followed were some of the hardest they faced together. Chris was by Ally’s side through it all, traveling with her between Seattle and Santa Barbara, offering support and strength. When Peter passed in August of that year, Chris and Ally packed up their life in Seattle to start a new chapter closer to her mom, Jan, in Los Angeles.
They lived in their first apartment in West Hollywood with Ally’s best friend, Nikki. The three of them navigated the pandemic together, turning lockdown into laughter and making unforgettable memories. Over time, they moved across four different LA apartments and eventually settled in Playa Vista, just minutes from the beach, with their beloved pup Sadie sunbathing on the patio.

On May 9th, 2025, Chris pulled off the surprise of a lifetime.
During that week, Ally had been talking nonstop about it being the best week of her life. Not only was she reuniting with all of her best friends, she was also seeing her favorite artist Beyoncé twice in one week. Little did she know, Chris, her mom, and all her friends were secretly working behind the scenes to plan the most magical proposal.

On a picture perfect day at Butterfly Beach in Santa Barbara (where there were no parking tickets this time), Chris brought Ally to a beautifully arranged picnic overlooking the ocean. Complete with flowers, champagne, and the sound of waves crashing in the background, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes through happy tears and laughter, and later that night was surprised once again with a celebratory dinner surrounded by friends and family.

And now after nearly nine years together, Chris and Ally are ready to tie the knot. They are beyond excited to celebrate the next chapter of their love story with you in Cabo.
